I figured I might as well weigh in since I wrote the blog post you speak of. Sarah Blasko is an Australian singer songwriter … she tends to create introspective indie music on the piano and guitar. I too love the idea that she’s branching out a bit to work on Hamlet. A real change of pace, but that’s what being a musician is all about, right?
I went to the performance, it was great. Opelia’s light tune were made into bigger songs (same lyrics though) and sung by Sarah Blasko at the opening. When i was sitting there i was like, I’ve seen her before. Then that i realised she’s actually quite famous…
