Another one from the popular questions file that doesn’t seem to have an answer already by itself.
What Shakespeare play was Robert Pattinson in?
According to Robert Pattinson Unlimited, Robert played Malcolm in a stage production of Macbeth. This was during his work with the Barnes Theatre Group, where he also had roles in Our Town, Anthing Goes, and Tess of the D’Urbevilles. As far as I can tell there is no video footage available of these performances.
In this case, I think the lack of video is a very good thing. I can't even begin to imagine the horror…
It is worth mentioning, lest it confuse people, that although Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is doing a movie Hamlet, there are no plans to cast Robert Pattinson in the lead. There are many fan sites that *suggest* that idea, but it's not happening. Emile Hirsch is her Hamlet.
Also, there are plenty of people that will want to make the "Twilight == Romeo and Juliet" connection for you. I would not count that as an answer to the "What Shakespeare play was he in" question. If that's a valid answer, than Matthew Broderick played Hamlet because he did the voice of Simba in the Lion King.
Oh be nice, Stacie, Malcolm doesn't get that much stage time. š
I had no idea that this kid played anything other than sparkly vampires. He was Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies? who knew?
